LOL yes. And I only went to buy some fruit juice right from the farm, took my Mom, and a little detour, while we chatted we missed a road, no big deal, it just took a little longer, and on our way back we came across these!
The scarecrows are a project for the 400th anniversary of the Beemster, it was 400 years ago the lake was turned into farmland. (The Beemster was the first one in a series of bigger lakes, and is the only polder which is not adressed as a polder).
The soil in front of the scarecrows is planted (or seeded) with every possible vegetation (food plants) there has been grown in the Beemster now and in the past.

Thanks for asking Donna. She started to go on her bike again last Wednesday. Today she went on her own to my house again. She still has bruices, but she is doing much better now.
